This piece is part of the collection "My Bestiary", which was born during the pandemic. While going through old sketches on loose sheets of paper, I began creating lithographs inspired by these forgotten designs. In these works, I embrace the belief of medieval man, the idea that the impossible can manifest in nature and weave itself into daily life. For him, mystery is everywhere, and nothing is excluded. He doesn’t dismiss the impossible simply because it falls outside his understanding.
Through this collection, I sought a way to exorcise the lingering fear that still shapes our existence. The Peacock encapsulates this idea. In ancient times, the peacock was a symbol of spiritual rebirth and resurrection. When depicted with its tail lowered, it also represents humility.
