We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Tezos during EthCC.

Under the discerning curatorial vision of @Unknown and @sendrock, 20 talented artists have been chosen for an outdoor exhibition in Ghent, Belgium, accompanied by a physical showcase at the Artcrush Gallery in Ixelles, opening on July 10th at 6 PM CET. Furthermore, the three grand winners of our Open Call will gain prominent exposure throughout Belgium on 1,000 screens thanks to the Clear Channel network.

Sendrock and Unknown provided their unique perspectives to the selection. Sendrock, with his spiritual inclination, gravitates towards art that uplifts the spirit and resonates on a profound emotional level. His selections often reflect a sense of serenity and transcendence, seeking to elevate the viewer's experience. In contrast, Unknown’s taste leans towards art's unconventional, strange, and darker aspects. He is drawn to pieces that challenge norms, provoke thought, and embrace the peculiar.

Unknown candidly shared that,

"curating in a team is a challenging endeavor, especially without predefined themes or criteria. It becomes more of a selection process defined by personal preferences and what each curator wants art to evoke. Gary (Sendrock) and I considered setting an internal theme but ultimately decided to select 10 pieces with the option of a veto, making the process as natural as possible. This lack of rigid parameters pushed us toward a more instinctive and exploratory approach, focusing on what we individually found compelling and evocative".

The selection of the 20 artists was the result of this collaborative journey. Their diverse preferences resulted in a group of artists that could touch different types of viewers' personalities, yet all had something interesting and intriguing in their art. The fusion of spiritual upliftment and unconventional intrigue resulted in a diverse and rich depiction of digital art.

For the three grand winners, the criteria subtly shifted. Sendrock and Unknown sought pieces that not only held intrinsic artistic value but also had the potential to captivate and engage an audience when displayed on screens. These artworksare needed to tell a unique story and create a memorable visual experience. The chosen pieces stood out for their ability to draw viewers in, offering a distinct and compelling narrative.
